Congratulations Moonbot!!

Well done to all my buddies over at Moonbot Studios who just took the Oscar® for Best Animated Short - "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore".
I studied with at least half of these folks over in Ringling College (even my good eld tutor Keith Osborn worked on it!) Congratulations to the whole team! I'm proud of you guys!!
Benicio Del Toro sketch
Been a while since I painted anything so I decided to get the eld colour swatches going again. Here's a sketch I made over the break honouring one of my favourite actors in one of the best movies out there - Benicio Del Toro in "21 Grams"
Still not finished though... (yeah yeah!!)

Animation Tag Attack Episode 11 - Attack of the BearDuck
Eurovision unite once more!! I got back with my partner in crime Francesco to collaborate on episode 11 of Animation Tag Attack which is a huge animation project directed by the talented Cristen Bach (www.christen.dk). It'll be shown to an audience at The Annecy Animation Festival. Very exciting to be part of a global network of animators!
Here's the episode we worked on
And here's episode 1-11

An Oldie...
I came across this just now... brings back memories! It was an assignment I had in my old college back in '02, Ballyfermot College. That place had me drawing solid for two years straight!
It took me a weekend with cotton wool and graphite powder with a putty rubber to make this. A Saturday night on Pringles and strange alternative music playing on the radio... this is the result. I miss those days!

The Monk & The Monkey at SIGGRAPH
Been a while since I updated! I promised myself 'd never fall into that trap!
Well college is over now and my short film I co-directed with Francesco has made it into SIGGRAPH 2010 Animation Festival. Despite how excited I am about the news I'm disappointed I couldn't make it over this time.
Fran put together a little website that'll showcase the production pipeline of the film. We'll add more work as the weeks go on.

Stop! Look! Listen!
These were shown on TV in the UK as a campaign for children's safety by the Department for Transport "THINK!"
The messages are short, swift and strong, looks beautiful too. They were all produced at Nexus, a London-based company.
DISCLAIMER! I didn't work on these... it's just a repost!
